I didn’t notice air exchange rate as a number or a measurement. I noticed it as time — how long I could stay indoors before my body started to feel done.

I was resting more, doing less, and giving my body time — but rest didn’t land the way it used to. Indoors, recovery felt shallow, like my body stayed partially awake even when I stopped.

Indoor pollutants weren’t something I could identify or point to. I felt them as a slow buildup — a sense that being indoors took more out of me the longer I stayed.

The stress didn’t start the symptoms — it lowered my capacity to carry them. Indoors, emotional strain made everything my body was already holding feel heavier.
