When mold was acknowledged, the solutions offered were often framed as temporary. I learned that pressure to accept short-term fixes can leave renters feeling stuck between compliance and self-protection.

I could describe what I felt — just not in a way that landed. The symptoms were real, but the language never seemed to fit. Every explanation felt incomplete, even to me.

Physically, I was improving. Emotionally, something lagged. Even as symptoms faded, my sense of steadiness didn’t fully return indoors — like recovery had stalled halfway through.
