When flexible, shared workspaces felt more demanding than they looked.
I wanted co-working spaces to feel easier.
They promised comfort without formality, structure without rigidity.
So when my body reacted there — often faster and more intensely than in offices — I felt caught off guard.
The space looked calm, but my system didn’t experience it that way.
It was confusing to feel overwhelmed in a place built to feel relaxed.
This didn’t mean co-working spaces were harmful — it meant flexibility can still be demanding to a sensitive nervous system.
Why “Flexible” Spaces Didn’t Feel Settled
Nothing in a co-working space stays still for long.
People rotate in and out. Conversations start and stop. Energy shifts constantly.
Even when it’s quiet, the sense of movement lingers.
