I thought seeing the numbers would instantly make sense. What I learned was that clarity on paper doesn’t always translate to clarity in experience — and that’s okay.

I expected ERMI results to be uniform throughout the house. When they varied from room to room, I assumed problems existed — until I realized how dust and airflow naturally affect the numbers.

I kept re-reading my ERMI report, hoping the numbers would finally make sense. What I had to learn was that confusion doesn’t mean the results are wrong — it often means I was missing context.

Subtle changes were the hardest to explain. Nothing felt clearly wrong — just slightly different, in ways that were easy to dismiss until they started repeating.
