Calm Guidance

When things finally slowed down, I expected relief. Instead, the discomfort became louder — not because it increased, but because nothing was covering it anymore.

Nothing big was changing. I was just moving from one small thing to another. And yet at home, even simple transitions felt heavier and harder to complete.

I didn’t feel depressed — I just didn’t feel like myself. My mood flattened in ways that were hard to name, especially indoors, even when nothing felt emotionally “wrong.”

The moment had ended. The conversation was over. And yet at home, my body stayed activated long after the emotional wave should have settled.

I rested more, slowed down, and did less — but the discomfort stayed. What finally made sense was realizing rest wasn’t the missing piece. The environment was.
