Calm Guidance

I wasn’t emotionally overwhelmed in obvious ways. I just noticed that feelings took longer to move through me — like they got stuck halfway. It wasn’t numbness or intensity. It was delay.

I kept wondering why small things felt harder at home. It wasn’t until I noticed where my patience returned that the pattern started to make sense.

Looking back, it wasn’t that nothing was happening. It was that everything was happening slowly enough to blend into normal life. By the time I realized something was wrong, I had already adapted to far more than I should have.

I kept assuming my emotions were unpredictable. What surprised me was how consistently my mood improved the longer I stayed out of my house.

Nothing dramatic happened at first. Life kept moving. But over years, the direction of my health subtly changed — not because of one event, but because of what my body had to manage every single day indoors.
