I used to think consistency meant daily use. If binders helped at all, taking them every day felt responsible. What I learned the hard way is that frequency can matter as much as strength — and that daily use isn’t always supportive, especially when the nervous system is still sensitive.

When progress felt slow, I assumed the answer was intensity. Stronger binders. More detox tools. Less patience. What I learned instead is that “stronger” often pushes the body further into defense — and that recovery tends to move faster when pressure is reduced, not increased.

When I restarted binders after stopping, my biggest fear wasn’t symptoms — it was uncertainty. I kept asking how long adjustment was supposed to take. What I learned is that the body doesn’t announce tolerance with a finish line. It shows it quietly, through patterns that only make sense when you know what to watch for.
