Normal tests didn’t mean nothing was happening. They just meant my experience didn’t fit neatly into the measurements we rely on most.

Somewhere along the way, my environment became something I felt embarrassed about. This is how shame crept in quietly—and why it never actually belonged to me.

I assumed rest would make things better. Instead, symptoms became clearer the moment life got quieter — and that taught me how much my body had been holding together.

It wasn’t the symptoms alone that made me question myself—it was the steady drip of other people’s doubt. This is how external disbelief slowly became internal uncertainty, and why that shift was harder than I expected.

Technology didn’t suddenly feel harmful — it stopped fading into the background. What I noticed wasn’t danger, but the constant presence of stimulation my body could no longer tune out.

There were days when the symptoms were heavy—but the dismissal cut deeper. This is what I learned about how not being believed can amplify suffering in ways the illness itself never did.

EMFs didn’t become overwhelming on their own. They became overwhelming when my nervous system no longer had the capacity to filter background input the way it once did.

When people couldn’t see what was happening to me, stress became the explanation that replaced my experience. This is what it felt like to have something real flattened into something easier for others to understand.

Before I had language for it, I thought I was just “on edge.” Living with EMF sensitivity wasn’t dramatic or constant — it was subtle, confusing, and easy to doubt.

At some point, explaining started to hurt more than staying quiet. I didn’t stop talking because I was better—I stopped because being misunderstood felt heavier than being alone.
