I used to blame the room. The air felt thicker, harder to settle into, especially after long phone calls or video meetings. It wasn’t until I noticed the timing that I realized the space hadn’t changed — my system had.

Nothing hurt. There was no sharp symptom to point to. But indoors, my body often felt compressed — and understanding that sensation helped me stop searching for an injury that wasn’t there.

I kept focusing on what was happening inside my home. It took me longer to notice that my symptoms often shifted when the weather changed outside — even though I hadn’t opened a window or changed anything indoors.
