Why My Body Felt Like It Was Always Working Harder at Home
When effort became the background state.
The effort wasn’t obvious.
I wasn’t lifting heavy things or pushing myself. But everyday actions — standing, thinking, moving through the day — felt like they required more energy at home.
I kept assuming this was just how things were now.
Nothing was hard — everything just cost more.

Why I assumed this was just low stamina
Low energy felt like the simplest explanation.
I told myself I needed more time, more recovery, more patience. I focused on rebuilding stamina without asking why effort felt heavier in one place than another.
This echoed what I’d already learned when I realized my house itself was influencing how I felt.

Ease returned when the environment shared the work.
