Indoor Air Quality
The air can be wrong even when the house is new.
Indoor air is more than mold. New-house smell, closed-up winter air, plants that don’t actually clean a room. Those were real in my house too. This door is the air itself: off-gassing, ventilation, and what filtration can and cannot do.
If this is you
- The house is new and I still feel off — that smell is chemistry, not “fresh.”
- Winter makes it worse — closed windows, not “just allergies.”
- I already bought plants — what actually moved the air.
Start with these
- Why so many people feel sick in new homes
- That “new construction” smell
- The air-purifying plant myth
- Winter sinus issues that aren’t “just allergies”
- What a dehumidifier and quieter HVAC changed — and what they never fixed
Questions people actually ask
- Do air purifiers actually help with mold?
- Why didn’t my first purifier help?
- Will a dehumidifier finish a leak?
A quieter HVAC and a dehumidifier changed how the rooms felt. They did not find the water. If the smell is a leak, that’s the moisture door, not another filter.
I don’t sell a “detox the air” kit. If you’re shopping gear, that’s the products door. If the smell is water, that’s mold and moisture.
